Robert O'Neil

Director and Physiotherapist

Rob is a physiotherapist of 25 years experience who recently returned to the Bayside and took over the reins of Wynnum Manly Physiotherapy in 2018 after many years of living abroad.

He grew up in the local community, attended Iona College and then attained his Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of Queensland in 1998.

Rob is the grandson of Manly Clinic founder, the late Dr Jack Hansen and worked at the surgery for many years where he got to know the local doctors.

 

He has had extensive experience based both in Australia and in the UK - as well as working in hospital, occupational health and musculoskeletal settings, Rob was the leading clinican at The National Sports Centre in Crystal Palace for over 10 years.

 

Rob is an excellent manual and exercise therapist and is qualified in both pilates and acupuncture. Rob is committed to clinical excellence and customer service and takes an evidence based holistic approach when treating patients and optimising outcomes. He is passionate about all aspects of Sports and Musculoskeletal medicine and is committed to the education and improvement of general health and wellbeing.

When he isn't working Rob enjoys spending time with his family, Kite surfing in Lota or indulging in his cactii obsession.

 Physiotherapist

Isaac has been a welcome addition to the Wynnum Manly Physiotherapy team in 2022 and although a Brisbane local, he completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy at James Cook University up in Townsville. 

 

Isaac's top priority is to ensure that your individual needs and concerns are met. He firmly believes that a trip to the physio should be a positive and engaging experience. Isaac likes taking the time listen to his patients and thoroughly assess and treat their concerns.  

 

Isaac has a keen interest in injury prevention, rehabilitation, and strength training. He prefers treating with hands on techniques and manual therapy, so he can accurately identify the issues and treat in a way which generates the best results. When appropriate, Isaac likes using his experience with strength training and Pilates to facilitate with your recovery and rehabilitation. 

 

Isaac loves all aspects of physiotherapy, with a particular interest in treating shoulders, necks and lower backs. He is also experienced with occupational injuries, whether it be office related neck pain or a work-related knee injury from repetitive lifting. Isaac regularly attends education courses to further expand his knowledge of physiotherapy in order to deliver optimal treatment to all his patients.

 

Outside of work, you'll find Isaac playing basketball, or trying his hand at fishing (strong emphasis on trying). He also loves trying out new breweries and grabbing some accompanying chicken wings!! Isaac is also a keen hiker and is always looking for new trek recommendations to do.
